Carol Hammerman, born in Chicago, has embraced the art world on many levels. While growing up, her mother ran a “grassroots” gallery in their home which showcased contemporary paintings and sculpture on consignment. Ultimately, the creative process, applied arts, and education became her passion. For over 25 years, she has generated both large and small sculpture. Materials such as wood, metals and clay are incorporated using innovative strategies and techniques. Carol’s academic degrees include a BFA from Ohio State University, and an MFA in sculpture from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. You can view Carol’s recent sculpture and unique jewelry designs on her website
